The Delapré Abbey Backyard Ultra – Northampton!
Join us in the stunning grounds of Delapré Abbey for our next instalment of this unique endurance challenge.

What is a Backyard Ultra?

A Backyard Ultra follows a simple, addictive format:

• Run a 4.167-mile (6.7 km) loop every hour, on the hour.
• Finish the loop within the hour to stay in the race.
• Start again at the top of the next hour… and repeat.
• The event continues until there is only one runner left who can complete a solo lap.
• All others receive a DNF, which is all part of the Backyard spirit!

Whether you're aiming for a new distance PB, tackling your first Backyard, or pushing for Last One Standing, this format is all about pacing, resilience, community—and seeing just how far you can go.
